Feasibility Study into Community Owned Care Homes and Other Creative Housing Options

We all know that the private business model of care home provision is grossly failing our country’s most vulnerable citizens and their families. We also know that there would be much better provision available if we used real life expertise, common sense and fresh thinking to help us explore and design alternatives to the current care home system.

Therefore, we are seeking funding for a two-year feasibility study that would allow us to explore and develop the possibility of community-owned care homes, purpose-built low impact care communities and the creative development of sheltered housing provision.

Despite working voluntarily we are already in a position to share our initial designs and findings and have started to identify the partners necessary to take forward one or more of the alternative provision ideas.
